This has been addressed multiple times.

It was considered a travesty then, just as it should be now:

"This provision went into effect six years after John F. Kennedy made his brother Robert F. Kennedy the U.S. Attorney General in 1961, so it has been nicknamed the “Bobby Kennedy Law.” (JFK’s brother-in-law Sergeant Shriver also ran the Peace Corps.) The Nation blasted the appointment as “the greatest example of nepotism this land has ever seen,” while Newsweek called it a “travesty of justice.” Irresponsible, said a New York Times editorial: “It is simply not good enough to name a bright young political manager, no matter how bright or how young or how personally loyal, to a major post in government.” The President would shrug off criticism by joking, “I can’t see that it’s wrong to give him a little legal experience before he goes out to practice law.” "

None of this makes any sense . JK is merely an advisor to Trump. He's not in charge of any agency .

I didn't vote for Trump and railed against him here , but the only true gripe here is that it's Trump doing something the left can find a reason to gripe about .

Nothing of substance to it . The anti Trumps need to get over it . Trump won .

Hillary had her nose in Bill Clinton's business when she was first lady and everybody wanted Bill Clinton to be in her cabinet. So was that okay?

Trump will be a figurehead and spend his time holding rallies, tweeting, etc., rather than doing any actual governing. I just don't think he's up to the task of being POTUS. For him, it's all about the crowds and his fans. Since Pence will be performing so many of the duties of POTUS, someone is needed to cover behind the scenes VP duties.

Well said! Myself and others have had the same opinion ever since His Orangeness won the election.

DT and his camp never planned on winning, but once that event occurred in order to prevent the world finding out that the "emperor has no clothes" something has to be done. We saw the first bits of this when IT was sitting in on meetings with foreign dignitaries and her father. Just what place did the daughter of a president-elect no matter how large a role she has in other matters have for being at such meetings? Someone had to inform and or muzzle DT, and for awhile that job fell to ITK.

We also saw glimmers of what was coming down the pike when soon after election DT demanded his SIL and daughter be given high level security clearances. Again WTF was that all about?

The United States isn't some Latin American country or even France, it cannot be governed by the "Street". In a few days DT is going to have to put on his big boy pants and step into a role he knows nothing about and is *VERY* ill educated and prepared to take on. His age and character work against teaching an old dog new tricks, so person or persons are going to have to manage things behind the scenes. The next four years are going to be much like two great old British television series "Yes, Minister" and "Yes Prime Minister". The only questions are who will be playing Sir Humphrey Appleby, GCB, KBE, MVO, MA , Sir Bernard Woolley, GCB, MA and Sir Arnold Robinson GCMG CVO MA

JFK/RFK.

Bill Clinton had Hillary

And not a single word from the left about "nepotism"

When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume
authority over a health care reform. Even after threats and
intimidation, she couldn't even get a vote in a democratic controlled
congress.

This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million in cost for
studies, promotion, and other efforts.

Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female
attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba
Wood - both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration.

Next she chose Janet Reno - husband Bill described her selection as
"my worst mistake."

Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh
and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting
in dozens of deaths of women and children.

Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the
head of the Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection.
When a little probing led to the discovery of Ms. Guanier's radical
views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.

Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some
more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the
Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and
William Kennedy for the Treasury Department.

Her selections went well: Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably)
committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.

Many younger votes will have no knowledge of "Travelgate." Hillary
wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry
Thompson - and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She
managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their
reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month
investigation. Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime,
and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal and White House
funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours.

Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend
a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of
Director of White House security.

When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900
FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of
drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied
even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use
in the White House.

Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office
after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.

Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual
harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the
"bimbo eruption" and scandal defense. Some of her more notable
decisions in the debacle were:

She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. After
the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones.

nuff said!

As usual it is OVER your head,

The crying is about NEPOTISM

JFK NOMINATED his BROTHER for a very important federal cabinet position. AKA NEPOTISM.

Now the hypocrites are crying nepotism because Trump wants a amily member to be one of his advisors.

I know it is tough for some of you stay on subject.

If Barron joined the Obama administration, he would be the most honest and competent member of the Cabinet. Also the most mature.
