Good for Devos. She bought the job fair and square!
Different thread but Obama plan to bring us of recession after the Dem fiasco of Freddy May mac and the Bfa lawsuit, his policies were short term , with our a long vision insight. The teacher unions have been controlling education and the direction for decades.
Its time for a positive change!

At a time before there was a Teacher's Association (union) in our area, I saw my 5th-grade teacher's pay slip. She had a master's degree and 10 years of experience and her take-home pay for a month, was $262. Things changed after a union was formed and negotiations on salaries and benefits took place. But without that organization, teachers would still be so badly underpaid, that few of the good ones would be able to afford filling the jobs, despite their dedication.

Those who dismiss the interests of teachers as being insignificant, as you have, are a big part of the problems with education. If the right-wing union-haters want to dumb-down our society, they are taking the right path.

Happy with the DeVos pick... finally EVERYONE has the right to choose the best school for their kids. The anti-Trumpers are upset because people will see how great the system is and nobody will want to go back... this is Yuggeee!

What the naive right-wingers, who are celebrating DeVos' confirmation, don't realize is that those schools can now get funding to advance Allah's kingdom, Sharia law, etc....

No need. DeVos will effectively dismantle the Dept. by herself.

Yes indeed.

Hippie types will be burning sage and including Tarot card readings in their lessons.

Maybe you are too young to remember Bush's "no child left behind"?
