There is a wealth of information about Trump's connections to the Russians before and after he ran for president..
In April 2016 Trump AND Sessions (who was heading Trump's campaign's foreign policy group) asked the Russian ambassador to Trump's initial foreign policy speech...THEY ASKED him there to hear Trump give his initial "I love Russia so let's be friends" announcement and void any negotiation to achieve a softer attitude toward Putin/Russia...
Trump just dove right into being soft on Russia w/o any jockeying for position...
Great way to make a deal...
There is no fairy tale about any of this complaisant attitude to Russian hacking of Trump's opponent...
Remember Russia hacked the GOP as well--they just didn't release any of what they gleaned from that hack like they did the DNC and Podesta's emails...
I would not be at all surprised if there is really is a smoking gun that ties Trump and his closest advisors/business buddies to making a deal with Putin about the hacking info and sanctions which will be discovered...
I don't know though if it would be revealed to the public...I think it might be used to stubborn Trump into resigning and lying about the reason--maybe citing his health as a reason he has to step down...
The issue is that Pence is just as contaminated by being on the ticket with Trump--and he should go to...
As should all of Trump's Cabinet... This is an entire nest of snakes...and needs to be rooted out...

I don't know how anyone in the DOJ can fairly investigate the POTUS.
How can anyone maintain they can be fair in investigating their boss?
