They keep claiming Trump is dividing the country. Seems to me he's a scapegoat for the very thing they are guilty of.

You can argue the conservative news does the same. They are not, however, mainstream, and many preface their content with their intent. For example, with a google search for TownHall.com, you will see this: "Townhall is the top source for conservative news, political cartoons, breaking news, election news and commentary on politics and the media culture."

However, search Huffington post and you get this "The destination for news, blogs and original content offering coverage of US politics, entertainment, style, world news, technology and comedy." At least they got the comedy part right.
Fox News is very much a part of corporate- owned MSM.

All media, including internet based, are for profit businesses.

People will believe anything when it seems to validate their perceptions.

"They cannot seem to wrap their little heads around that"

And people like just cannot seem to wrap their little heads around the fact that it doesn't matter 1 iota.

You are compiling about the repub turnout when IF your YOUR side had turned out YOU would have won.

The ONLY thing that MATTERS is the Trump WON THIS ELECTION.

What happened in the past is, in the past, PERIOD!

Your whine is like if a horse wins the Kentucky Derby with a time of 3:42 one year then next year a horse wins with a time of 3:30, you say, "That isn't fair, his time was slower then last years."

You, and the dems, need to figure out how to get MORE voters to turn out.

It is THAT simple.

If you want the broadcast tv news to be less biased, call your Congressman to reinstate the fairness doctrine. It required any body who leased public owned airwaves to give equal time to issues that were of interest to the public. It was removed by Ronald Reagan.

Equal time required any broadcast owner to give equal time to declared candidates in programing initiated by the station. A press conference is not initiated by the station so that means they do not have to give equal time. I think they give equal time to candidates ad buying if asked. The debates did not even try to give candidates equal time. IMO, Trump got way more time than the others.

Newspapers are privately owned or through stockholders and can print anything they like. You are free to start your own newspaper any day you like.

Cable news can be anything the owners chose.

Be careful what you believe. Half the news articles on FB and many other sites was concocted by a guy earning a living of $120000 a year posting made up crap on FB. Those teenagers in Macedonia were making 4x the national wage putting up fake news sites containing made up news stories.

If newspapers go away, how will you know what is happening at your city hall, school board and courthouse? You think some hobby blogger will tell you? It cost news organizations around 500 bucks to go to the city council meeting. My paper pays stringers to attend the many different school board meetings in the Houston area. The tv just shows up if they get a press release of something controversial happening. Twenty five years of going tells me the public does not go to school board meetings, or commissioners court meetings. Just nosey old people like me.

Seems like a false conclusion that half the country doesn't agree with mainstream media. The issue is a small segment using false news on the internet and bloggers and accepting that as fact. Some of the most popular stories on social media were in fact fake.

Lol. Relax Natalie, no one is going to put Blacks back in slavery.

No one is firing up the ovens.

No one is putting anyone in boxcars.

Pure fear mongering hyperbole.

The only lynching going on is the Trump protesters hanging him in effigy.

Remember James Byrd was killed less than 20 years ago. He wasn't lynched though. They tied him to the back of a pick up and drove down the road.

Perhaps it is in my mind because my son was there before his blood dried on the road.
