Something is seriously not right about this.

Current system got Obama to two terms. You prefer young people hat have a vague understanding of issues to decide what's right?

And Obama won the popular vote. Not at all the same situation as today. People in China must be laughing at our concept of democracy. With the losing candidate gaining nearly 2 MILLION (more population than several states that voted for trump) more votes than the winning candidate?

Trump voters were amongst the least educated in our society, clinging to times and ideals long gone. I don't believe they have a good understanding of the issues. It is people living in New York, San Fran, LA, Miami, Chicago, etc that have a clearer image in their minds of what America is.

If Trump won the popular vote, you wouldn't see me complaining about this. But he didn't. He lost it massively in fact. We now have a president that the strong majority of Americans did not vote for. And it isn't right.

and what our current system does is allow as equal a voice in who is president as possible, instead of a few major population centers deciding who is president.
Well...maybe not. This should be contested. She's up over 2 million votes, and things are starting to look very suspicious.

Freaking hysterical ...

The only place things look suspicious is in California with the illegals voting.

Russian hacking ... buttercups will make up anything.

really? that is all you have? all this is, is sour grapes. clinton lost, but the snowflakes were told for nearly two years that she was a shoe in for the presidency, and they bought into the lies. if the vote count was really close enough to even consider a recount, it would have already been done. all states have laws on the books that require an automatic recount if the margin is close enough. and sorry but 100,000 votes is not close enough to trigger a recount.

now if there was a difference of say 1,000 votes, then a recount is called for.

Yep, without California, Trump had the majority popular vote in total for the other 49 States combined. This is why the electoral college must be retained. Without it, a handful of high population States would rule over the rest of us. The people of California do not represent me.

That is COMPLETELY upside down. Keep thinking that way and you will keep losing. Did Democrats learn NOTHING from the election?

If the election was tampered with, it was also done in previous elections. Are we ready to haul Obama off to prison for fraudulently taking office? Duhbya Bush, too?

The way it SHOULD BE. What makes you think a bunch of low population states should rule over the more populated ones? The people of California might not represent yourself (you don't represent them either), but California represents our country far more than any other state.

This whole system is botched and that is why people are protesting. I'm not a Hillary supporter but even I can see how messed up this is.

No its not. Sorry, but rural white America doesn't reflect what our country is. And it hasn't for a long time now, and the trend will continue in the direction of white rural America continuing to lose influence.

Democrats (particularly older women democrats) had to learn the hard way that you can't force through your female candidate if she is so despised. I'm a Democrat and male, and I couldn't stand Hillary. That trend was pretty standard amoung my other young male democrat friends.

On the flip side, I am glad Republicans finally learned that if they continued to nominate bible thumpers that the presidency would be out of their grasp forever. Trump isn't exactly a typical Republican win. The party had to change and it knew it.
