Obama called protestors in Baltimore "thugs". His presence at the funeral for the Dallas PD was basically an "apology" from black people. The only thing to come the Obama Admin was the report on Ferguson. A report. He's pretty much sat by while police slaughtered people. Don't you think if black people had faith that Obama would have done something they would just let the system run it's course? He also, to my knowledge, hasn't really said a peep about those Bundy Clowns and their armed protest. He also hasn't said a peep about all the white men that kill police. He's stayed away from this stuff, took the police side, or in the one case called black people thugs...mainly because the right was prolapsing about "Trayvon could have been my son". Where are you all getting this notion that he's giving protesters pre-game speeches like a football coach?

Officer Down Memorial Page. We're just talking about officer deaths.

They provide a level of justification and support and encouragement for their actions.

No, but they do get encouraged by the liberal media and pushed until they do things like this. You think they would do this if the media didn't push their lies and distortions 24x7 with a severe left spin? Highly doubtful.

I showed you the numbers, which were far higher in 2007. The numbers were from National LE Officer Memorial Fund page, and they did not pick any certain method or tool to make a better political point, they are simply numbers of how many officers had been killed any any means (gunfire, knives, baseball bats, cars, fists). The only reason your report picked 'gunfire', is because that particular method showed a higher increase, so it makes for a better political soundbite.

Also, non-fatal assaults, and assaults with injuries are down compared to 2007.

In 2007 192 officers were killed, 70 of which were caused by gunfire. In 2015 123 were killed 41 of which were gunfire related. Apparently there has been an increase between Nov 2016 compared to Nov 2015 in gunfire related deaths, but still less than in 2007. The numbers seem to fluctuate between 35 and 70, so lets not play politics every time the fluctuation shows a higher number, because there is no evidence of a trend.

Why did you choose 2007?

Because it is about 10 years back. Is there a problem with that year?

Nope, no problem but it's funny, earlier you stated that was Bush's last year in office which is obviously not true.
2006 would be 10 years back. 2008 would be Bush's last year as president. Both years had a lower number than 2007 which you chose.

Hopefully Trump will turn the FBI and the NSA on the BLM organizers and put an end to this insanity. A very heavy handed police response to future protests will also get the message across.
