In what way would moving the capital change anything? Unless you order forced re-elections and basically fire all government workers, every single person who's job is tied to the capitol would simply move to wherever the new location is. And if you did fire people and force re-elections, you wouldn't need to move in the first place. This is an absurd topic.

You've already seen what having leftist elites working in the "nation's capital" has done to VA through an influx of leftists fleeing DC proper and MD in search of lower cost of living/lower taxes Virginia. If you don't want the electoral politics of a "neutral" place going down the drain like that, you'll be against this move.
That's a great point. A way to fight that would be lay off 80% of the workforce and consultants in DC and only keep what you really need. You could also move say State Dept to Salt Lake, Defense Dept to Tampa, Dept. of Education to Jackson, Ms....etc.
I fear Trump will want to move it to Moscow so he can continue to be the obedient lap dog of Putin. I think Trump would like living in a Czarist-era palace.
Liberals own DC and Trump only won 4% in the DC swamp. Should be capitol be moved or at least Republicans have the option of telecommuting from a safer locale?
No, because even not taking to account all the other problems with that, there is no saying that neutral cities today will be that way even a decade or two from now. 30 years ago, Southern California was a Republican leaning metropolis with it's suburbs being very Republican. Today it's a lot more on the same page with the Bay Area and the "two Californias" have become coastal and inland. That is an example of how fast things can change.
