In what way would moving the capital change anything? Unless you order forced re-elections and basically fire all government workers, every single person who's job is tied to the capitol would simply move to wherever the new location is. And if you did fire people and force re-elections, you wouldn't need to move in the first place. This is an absurd topic.

Even Fox News wouldn't talk about this ****. What you have hear is a Breitbart reader. Far more ridiculous.

That's a great point. A way to fight that would be lay off 80% of the workforce and consultants in DC and only keep what you really need. You could also move say State Dept to Salt Lake, Defense Dept to Tampa, Dept. of Education to Jackson, Ms....etc.

That thumping sound is coming from Arlington National Cemetery. It is Pierre Charles L'Enfant turning over in his grave.

Kansas City or Texas? Ugh...Why not Florida or some other God-forsaken place?

I thank God everyday I live in "The Bubble" (aka New York).

It would be a huge job to jack up the White House and move it to Oklahoma.

The Capitol would have to go to Tennessee and the Court to Wyoming. That would make it harder for them to be in cahoots.

Why? They can just pull a Marco Rubio, and never show up.

Or they can just Tweet their opinions.

I fear Trump will want to move it to Moscow so he can continue to be the obedient lap dog of Putin. I think Trump would like living in a Czarist-era palace.

No, because even not taking to account all the other problems with that, there is no saying that neutral cities today will be that way even a decade or two from now. 30 years ago, Southern California was a Republican leaning metropolis with it's suburbs being very Republican. Today it's a lot more on the same page with the Bay Area and the "two Californias" have become coastal and inland. That is an example of how fast things can change.
