I shouldn't have to share with anyone. Anyone with a basic understanding of U.S. History will no better. This is a ridiculous question to ask. I figured more people would know better. Either that much ignorance still exists, or some people want to be able to call someone like President Obama a "monkey".
This is so stupid. When you are black, you were born that way, you don't have a choice. Trump's skin color is due to his tanning, which is a choice. Orange isn't a race.
I thought so too. This was something I learned in school and from watching PBS. In fact, I've been called a monkey, in English and Spanish. I got called "Curious George" by a former co-worker.
Too many people are tired of the CTRL-Left's double standards, especially when it comes to which insults are okay. Nobody should call black people monkeys, but those that scream the loudest are often the first to do it to whites like Trump.
Creating a present injustice is not okay because of past/present injustices.
Because comparing Trump an orangutan is about comedy and that his orange-ish skin color looks like the animal's rear-end-- it's not racial. Comparing a black person to a primate is not comedic but a racial insult, as at one time in the past some peoples considered black humans barely more evolved than apes.
In the past? I think plenty of people still consider black humans barely more evolved than apes.

I'm guessing many of these people voted for Trump.
stupid response.
Nobody should have racial epithets hurled at them no matter what the history is.
so we all should be self loathing guilt ridden white people in this country.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 has guided the way courts determine the protected groups under discrimination laws. Under the Civil Rights Act of 1964, a person may not be discriminated against due to the following:
Age
Pregnancy
National Origin
Race
Ethnic Background
Religious Beliefs
Sexual Orientation
The groups the status applies to have been altered through various laws and statutes over the years - perhaps you or Mr. Trump can get victims of bad cosmetology added to the list.

Imagine if anybody linked Obama any kind of animal?
So why is it OK one way but not the other?
I remember one time, my sister was about 5 y/o and cried after my father called her a 'general electric'!
It was a nonsense joke.
IMO if one has to ask the OP question, one has to be a conservative.
