Haha right.

Thatll take a yes vote from two-thirds of both houses of congress and 38+ states' legislatures.

Good luck with convincing any blue state to divide CA.

Hahahaha

What? Did you think your dictator donny could just order a state to be divided with a snap of his sausage finger? Haha

For a bunch of folks who Im sure consider themselves to be freedom-loving constitutionalists, you all sure do seem to have no problem handing over unilateral control to a single person.

How odd?

Nope. Nowhere in the constitution says that. Foreign entities own properties here and they are subject to our laws and tax codes.

This is like saying a Toyota factory cant exist in the US because it's owned by a Japanese company.

Failed premise.

California Legislature slams Donald Trump on Day One | The Sacramento Bee

You people clearly dont know who your up against.
I see you trimmed away some of my post for the purpose of deflection.
Selective comprehension and confirmation bias is what has been obscuring your sense of reality in the first place.

I actually read your article. I didn't see it as a California act of defiance, it read like an expose of what's wrong with California. Your politicians are either grand standing, or they're a victim of sensationalism. Nobody is going after legal immigrants. What's this about LBGT protections? Trump nearly suggested gay marriage should be left to the states (of which your's voted against btw).

Your own politicians in your own article clearly stated part of their trio of bills is preventing a border fence. This kinda flies in the face of your theory the feds let the illegals in and CA is simply trying to deal with them. Your politicians essentially want California and Mexico to become one country in which the poorest of Mexico would take refuge in California, and they think Trump is short sighted?

There's more in that article that I'm sure that I'm sure you glossed over. You're politicians want to increase the gas tax to fix your roads btw. You have the most expensive gas tax in the country and you still have to raise it to keep your roads from looking 3rd world. You got some real budget geniuses over there.
You're not going to feel the difference in price but your lower class citizens will. Commuting to work is about to get even more expensive for people who already couldn't afford to live close to work in the first place. So much for looking out for the people.

You want to raise minimum wage to $15 an hour making it cost prohibitive for legal citizens to enter the workforce, yet you know illegal immigrants are the only people exempt from such requirements, and you wonder why you have growing income disparity and illegal immigration problem and why your middle class is fleeing.

California is becoming a real train wreck with a plane crash on top the train wreck ruled by oblivious, conflicting interest groups that all think they're on the same page.
California is reactive and not proactive when it comes to dealing with issues. They pass laws that sound and feel good, then deal with the unintended consequences using legislative bandaids that in turn create more unintended consequences.

Here's a tip, before you take another gulp of Koolaid, a healthy dose of skeptism of your fellow Californinians' extremely conflicting interest would go along way. There's no need to defend every stupid politician or movement in California. It just makes you look like a very conflicted individual.

Oh really? And you think your red counties will just go along for the ride and the US won't have their back? There is precidence for how this will play out. That's why they teach history.

No.

If you arent a person that fits the description of who I described then dont worry about it.

But make no mistake, this election has proven that this country is infested with reckless buffoons who blame anyone that isnt white and protestant for every problem in their life.

And they deserve to be slapped around for voting this country back to the dark ages.

Just take a look at his cabinet picks? The CEO of C Exxon Mobil with close ties to Russia to Secretary of State???? Really?

You guys refuse to acknowledge the avalanche of evidence suggesting Donald Trump is Putin's b*tch.

If that were Obama youd be up in arms.

So spare us the indignation.

Again with the history lesson. Read up on Fort Sumter and get back with us. US Fort on newly found foreign soil that started a war.
The US doesn't care if you think it's yours. We have base in Cuba and Cuba can't do much about it.

Hahaha the 'US' has NOTHING to do with a state and it's counties and in California, every power the county has is derived from the state legislature.

Sacramento has the legal authority to do what it wants to our counties including revoke their charters and put them under state contol.

DC would have ZERO recourse but to cry.

Ultimately there are no 'red' or 'blue' counties, just red or blue people---who can leave. #BYE

There is no PRECEDENCE of the federal government meddling in a state's county boundaries.

Hahaha how dictatorial youve all become.

LOL!...no precedence for the Feds meddling in state boundaries...LMAO!!!!

You don't have a choice. You think you have a legal recourse but you don't. You have no military that can back up your claims. If you haven't realized this by now, when the US determines something is in their best interest, they simply take it. So calm down with the tough talk.
The South legally seceded by your definition and we see how that turned out. There's no need to repeat the mistakes of history.
