Is that why you were told by your governor to start turning your lawns into dirt and rocks?

The US would be screwed without California. They contribute much more in taxes to the government than they get back in services.

California is saying no more to subsidizing the rest of the country.

Life is great, Trump won.

Russians have pulled the wool over Californian secessionists eyes.

Even Hollywood wouldn't make that into a script.

Now we are in the gutter-how unbelievable.

Im so glad theyre not around to witness the keys of our democracy being handed over to Moscow.
The DNC got busted shafting Bernie for Hillary. Wikileaks simply told you what was going on and now you're blaming the messenger. What's sad is you seem to be ok with that arraignment.

You're like 400 posts too late. That subject got crushed into the ground weeks ago.

The UK Spectator draws parallels between Brexit and Calexit with a major difference that I bolded below.

Like the Britons who voted ‘leave’, those in the Californian separatist movement feel that unpopular trade policies are foisted upon them, making it more difficult and expensive for their companies to do business. Even pro-business moderates resent being dragged into the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement that clashes with its agenda. One key difference in the two movements is that Brits seem fed up with the burden of immigration, whereas Californians welcome it.

Yes. This crowd is well aware of all of this but can't bring themselves to concede these facts.

The Russians are going to screw around with the United States as much as they can for as long as they can.

An American loss is a Russian gain. Especially under Putin's rule. He's intent on rebuilding the old Russian empire, and is willing to use force where he can't, and psychology when he can't. The Russians know how to use despair, fear, and other emotions as weapons, and they are very skilled in their use.

Why else do so many people think we are failing as a nation when all evidence is contrary? Of course, part of our pessimism is ours- we are in the midst of another big generational transition and a greater technological change. Both those always breeds pessimism when they flower. And pessimism always brings a surge of nostalgia for the past when it sets in, as the memory of the past is always rosier than it actually was in life.

The Russians are exploiting every weakness they can perceive in our society, and they won't quit. They will escalate. That's part of being Russian. Do not believe they do not have the know-how or the ability- the have plenty of both, and they are using it. They have 700 years of experience under the Czars, and 100 more under the Communists.

It's a stupid question to ask how life has changed for the better when he hasn't taken office yet.
