Of course not! So why should a Jew get all huffy when I wish them Merry Christmas like has happened to me before? I was brought up Christian so Merry Christmas was what I was used to. How the heck could I have told these people were Jews? Not like they had signs on them. Unless you are male wearing a "beanie" (can't remember the correct name) or a turban, or a woman who covers her head and or body, I say Merry Christmas. Tough cookies if you get offended. It was said in good will.

Hamaka?
You believe that everyone should follow your rules and you get offended if they do not. Yes. But when you don't follow someone else's rules and they get offended then they are only getting "all huffy." You don't respect others but you expect them to respect you. Yes. You have perfectly illustrated why saying "Happy Holidays" is the best measure.

I'm seeing outrage over nothing in this thread...

If somebody tells me "Merry Christmas" (I've long since renounced celebrating it), I'll simply tell them "Happy Kwanzaa" and keep it pushing.

When could you ever not say it?

They got you all bamboozled. The lying rhetoricians (politicians) invented the term political correct as code so the don't say anything that would hurt their chances at being elected and having power over you. If none of you are politicians, why in the hell do you care about being politically correct? Why not care about being on the side of right and letting the political correct chips fall where they may.

Listen up boys and girls...it take a special kind of XXXXXXX to want to have power over all. An XXXXXXX that is greedy, ruthless and, egomaniacal. That XXXXXXX is called a politician.

Find a safe space and stop telling people you know what is best for them. You don't. Marry Christmas

Ah yes, goodwill - to all men, unless you are a or a Muslim woman, or wear a "harmaka". In which case, of course, Happy Holidays would be perfectly appropriate, because in actuality diversity of religions is the very reason we say it.

But you knew that.

It's funny to me how the spirit of Christmas seems to matter the least to those who wail and gnash over its greatly exaggerated demise. Oh well, this happy atheist just put up the tree and hugged the fam, and tomorrow we'll start wishing everyone all the best of the season, whichever form that may take.

I don't give a rat's a$$ about what people say as a salutation.

Obama prevented people from saying many things. He even rewrote government manuals and removed words he didn't like and put in long winded group words to get across his socialist, globalist views. The POS has been a disaster for the English language.
