As a Liberal myself let me try to unpack it for you. The difference is that; Muhammad claimed to be a Prophet. Quran says Muhammad is a perfect human being and an example for Muslims to follow for ALL times. This is dangerous!
I'm not conscious of any danger from a superstitious belief.
I am far more likely to be murdered by a lone gunman in a public space than I am to be killed by a terrorist group from the Middle East.
If you lived in Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, etc. you are more likely to die in a car accident than by a terrorist, but what does that prove.... nothing.

Oh, I am very aware, but I chose that to make a point.
I believe the fact that automobiles exist in the middle east will probably surprise the OP.
Is it still ok to marry 8-9 year olds in islam? Poor Europe smh
Yep, it still happens. The only limitation is that she has to start menstruating before the husband she's often sold to or forced to marry can have sex with her. Oh yeah and raping your wife isn't illegal in most Muslim countries. Fun times, no?
I am confident that Muslims can and do acclimate to modern Western societies where marrying a 9 year old is both illegal and completely inappropriate, but that doesn't help the girls and women in the Middle East.
Ellen got a medal of honor from Obama the other day.... smh
She would have been stoned to death in most Muhammadist nations years ago...
