If you accuse a person of using any foul language it is imperative that you quote them to show the context of the word they used. To just accuse someone of using the "N" word gives the accused a lot of wiggle room.
How you react to it is the only way you have control over it. Key word react.
I said I have control over what I ALLOW. I said nothing of controlling others.
And I certainly don't need to threaten anyone with violence, but should I be surprised you're practically defending cowards who would call someone that word and then run behind a gun to protect themselves from the ass whooping they deserve? More of that "stand your ground" BS that gives weak men the power to start something they can't finish without a firearm.
I don't think you have to worry about white folks using it, you are much more likely to be called it by your black friends.
I hear it from whites quite often. Sometimes it's just some teenagers or young adults calling their other white friends "n---a". Other times it's some dude saying it just within earshot of me to test my reaction. It's always ignored unless directed at me. I'm more flattered than anything else.
And what if a black person uses it? Are they given a free pass? The word has the same meaning whoever uses it.
So does the word "stupid". But there's a reason it's harmless for you to say it to your own brother and it's offensive if it comes from a stranger. This is common sense and should not have to be explained to adults.

I don't think anyone should use it period, the word has negative connotations.
That's not for you to decide. Blacks have rightfully taken power over its usage and it won't go away until we make that decision.
By now you should have understood that one black saying it to another cancels out its effectiveness.
