Only way they should get US citizenship is they should have an American parent or they should be legal residents aka legal immigrants.

The 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution - Fourteenth Amendment - anchor babies and birthright citizenship - interpretations and misinterpretations - US Constitution

I'll post another one when I find it. It has several framers commenting on the meaning of "subject to the jurisdiction of"

It means that people must NOT HAVE ALLEGIANCE to any other country. Illegals do. They are citizens of a foreign country.

Senator Jacob Howard said "this will not include, of course, foreigners ALIENS and children of ambassadors"

Rep John Bingham OH states March 9th 1866.....

".....that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the US of parents NOT OWING allegiance to any foreign sovereignty, is a natural born citizen...."

Liberals conveniently drop the clause "subject to the the jurisdiction of" when discussing anchor babies.

BTW, we're talking about "anchor babies" and not even scratching the whole topic of "chain immigration" that liberals enacted.

Exactly ... but both are part of the lib master plan to flood the country with prospective Dem voters so they can hold offices in perpetuity.

If I was donald I would immediately stop ALL MASS immigration for the entire 8 years.

Deport the illegals.

And during those 8 years only allow those 1st world immigrants with education and or skills and they must have a high net worth.


No more of this 3rd world stuff. If it keeps up We will turn into a third world country. We are well on our way already...

Babies cannot have allegiance. Can they? BTW, not all "anchor babies" are born to illegal immigrants.

Amendment XIV

Section 1.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

That language regarding "foreigners and aliens" doesn't appear to have made it into the Amendment as ratified, does it?

The children of foreign diplomats are not subject to the sovereignty of the US because of diplomatic immunity, not because of the late Senator.
