While as pointed out in the original link, if these states cannot complete their recount in time (and given how long its taken michigan to get their FIRST count thats a concern), while as the update points out that would change the number needed to win, so Trump would STILL win.....it does something else.
It ALSO reduces the number of faithless voters needed for Trump to lose. So yeah....a point of some concern actually.
Seriously, this idiot is completely unhinged about this, so it would only make sense that he would be in favor of recounts in order to find these people who are illegally voting.
Florida was stolen- by snowbirds- they should not vote if do not live here - if the elections were in July- be a different story = many uses FL as main home for tax purposes when in fact they only visit- several months out the year- and some been caught in voting ion both states- recount FLand make them pass the residence test
I've wondered about that for a long time. Snowbirds potentially could vote in two states and also claim homestead exemptions (for lower property taxes) in two states.

Without some system like e-Verify, we have no way of knowing how many illegal votes are cast. I doubt it's millions, but it's definitely not zero either. For example, we know the mall shooter in Washington State illegally voted. Recounts don't reveal anything about illegal voting, and ICE won't say if anyone is here illegally. The shooter's illegal vote was discovered only because voter lists are public information.
Even with the updated information, the recount still has disruptive ability, is unlikely to change the election outcome, and can cause greater problems down the road. Funny though how Ms. Stein, who did not place in the top three in any state and therefore has no real pony in the race, but claims she is doing it to make sure the results are valid, is not considering asking for a recount of New Hampshire with its 2,700 vote (0.4%) difference.
Here's the closest states by percentages in case anyone was curious:[indent][list=1][*]Michigan 0.3 percent
Trump 47.6 percent, Clinton 47.3 percent
Difference: 13,080 votes
Michigan certified results today, with a final difference of 10,704.
Early or preliminary results are often incorrect because there are thousands of opportunities for transposition errors, which tend to get corrected in the end.

A recount can be done to match up with what is public information. If voter fraud is such a concern, like the Snowflake-Elect is claiming it is, then we really should be doing recounts to make sure each vote that was cast was done so legally.
I disagree with this theory. The states that are recounting have already certified their results. Any recount that isn't complete by the federal deadline would mean that, barring any court action, the previously-certified count would be submitted/electors chosen based on that count.
perhaps she thinks that somehow the house will pick her to be president, after all she feels entitled to the position.
It's not that crazy a theory.
The Clintons know how to return a favor and everyone knows it.
With WI, MI and PA preforming hand counts and the lawyers running interference in the courts to make sure it stays undecided until after December 19th, the Clintons and their friends can buy off enough Republican House members to swing it to Hillary.
Having said that, it probably won't reach that point since PA was a more decisive win and has a tighter set of rules regarding recounts.
What it will do for sure is give Democrats an excuse for finding themselves politically alone in the wilderness and that's probably all they really hope to get at this point.
HRC and her party have difficulty accepting reality.
