Why are so many people bitter about her choice of attire. There are no rules about what constitutes a swimsuit in a pageant. I think it is awesome she is competing, and wearing what represents her. If you don't think she is pretty or representative of Miss USA, you can cast your vote for another contestant!

Rich Muslim woman in Saudi Arabia can look very beautiful...check out their fashion shows..It is the lower severe sects of Islam that make the woman look like black tanks with peep holes.

I don't understand why these people are so proud of their roots but immigrate to the US and try to impose it on everyone else. Go back home and do the pageant there. But pageants in Somalia are probably for harlots, so she would be killed. Or traded for a few prized sheep.

I think all girls should wear burkini to enter a beauty pageant.
Gain extra lbs? No problem, that thing can hide it for ya. Has skin problem? no problem, nobody can see anything anyway.

Everybody wears the burkini from now on, so none of these girls has to work extra hard for the pageant. Win win for everybody.

I personally don't think it is fair for other girls because they have to show a lot for the world to "judge" (for lack of a better word) when this Muslim woman doesn't have to.

Considering the hijab is worn as an act of modesty, as are the garments that cover everything, it seems to be against her own beliefs as she's prancing on stage being judged by her looks.
