Cow farts make the grass grow so that the cows can make milk.

Well the Gov has a solution that has been looking for that problem.

It's embarrassing to be from here - though I live on the right-hand edge. It seems CA just wants all industry to be elsewhere - and we'll just parachute in our goods -- would that be "green enough"?

Great, I'm investing in cork factories! But what happens when the cows blow up?

Actually, "needs" created by government artificially aren't needs. That's the best part, you don't know anything about business but you think you do. If I was anti-business, I'd probably be like you.

actually it might be better to invest in some sort of apparatus that would collect cow flatulence and store it to be used later, or transferred to a larger container.

These goons would be hard-pressed to convince me that cows fart any more than people do.

You're right that cows release greenhouse gases, but cow farts are not the number one cause of global warming.

Bacteria in the stomachs of cows and other ruminants (animals with chambered stomachs) produce methane, a strong greenhouse gas, that the animals release mostly by burping but sometimes also by farting. Ruminant livestock (domestic farm animals), including cows and sheep, do release a significant amount of methane. In fact, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, ruminant livestock are the largest source of methane from "human-related activities" around the world.

However, the methane from ruminant livestock burps and farts is not the number one cause of global warming. There is a far greater amount of carbon dioxide released to the atmosphere from the burning of fossil fuels than the release of methane from livestock and other sources. Carbon dioxide plays a bigger role in global warming than does methane.
How about the people in CA stop their love affair with cars, and leave the cows alone to do what comes naturally.
