For how long are you going to pretend that is all just temporary and that the moment the "evil old white folks" die that everybody will merely return back to being nice and leftist/PC? CAN'T YOU SEE THAT YOUR WORLD IS DYING!!!! Once the transition has happened THE WEST WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE LEFTIST/PC ERA. You are DONE and your ideology is being rejected. It blows my mind you still can't see it.
I have to differ with the conclusion made by the OP. Trump won, in part, because Hillary was such a bad candidate. If the Dems could have found someone decent, they would have had a good chance of winning. If Obama could have run again, he might have won. In fact, some of Trumps success was making inroads into the Democratic voting block by focusing on such issues as keeping jobs here.
It would be very foolish for Republicans to assume they have a lock on all future electins.

lol at level of cope. I can admit that if Clinton had not been the one running for president Trump might have lost, but even then Trump appeared for a reason. What would have happened is that the PC bull**** would continue, possibly growing even worse, so in 4 years time another guy would have appeared that is even more radical than Trump. You can't stop the decline of the left, only slow it down. All roads lead to the same place: The death of the regressive left.
Just listen to the labels to tell you how this is going..
"Progressives" .. sounds real positive right? really moving in the right direction? Never mind some can make a good argument that they are really DEgressing rather than Progressing.
"Right wing".. sounds like a term out of the Top Gun movie or something. It sounds radical and even "dangerous". Obviously if the Progressives are progressing than this group by default of definition is regressing.
If you are talking about the "angry voter" surge, it is because the country is actually becoming more liberal, not conservative.
The pitchfork and torch crowd was sold a bill of goods by a con artist. There is no "right-wing" surge. Enjoy the last dying breath of right wing bullying. This admin will finish it off. Billionaires eliminating Medicare, an AG trying to stop legal marijuana, high prices on tariff goods. LOL--good luck with that "surge."
We don't want to lose our medicare and social security. Republicans always seem to have money for a new war....
