Wow are libs pathetically or what? How does her living in the city affect them?
One million dollars of tax payer money per day and massive traffic issues so that the little snowflake, Barron, isn't inconvenienced by changing schools.

I believe letting a kid finish out a school year is what is best.
Trump will be president. What his first concern should be is what is best for the citizens of the US. There are private tutors and alternative schools for the little snowflake.

His dad running for president and then being elected has thrusted Barron into uncharted territory (for him) of media attention. He had people making fun of him for being exhausted at 3 am during his dad's victory speech. He even had Rosie O'Donnell publicly wonder if he is autistic - at 10 years old. Through the years Melania and Donald seem to have wanted to shield Barron from the media. In general, not much has ever been reported on him despite his dad being a millionaire (or billionaire) reality star and real estate mogul, and despite his also semi-famous siblings. Melania seems like a really protective and attentive mom to him.

It's perfectly reasonable for him and his parents to want to keep a sense of normalcy by staying at his school and not switching mid-year. It may take some time for them to select a new school in DC and for him to be accepted. Perhaps they want to look around once they get down there. Despite how unhappy it might make people, they are under no obligation to move right away.

NYC has massive traffic issues nearly every second of every day without Melania and Barron residing there as members of the first family.

The Obama girls, the Bush girls, Chelsea Clinton, Amy Carter, Susan Ford, the Kennedy children (who were toddlers) all handled their immediate transition to the White House very well. You guys act as if Barron Trump is going off to a prison camp.

Why can't you guys just be honest and admit that Melania and her son are "special snowflakes".

Everybody is different.

If Barron really IS autistic it could be very difficult to pull him from his environment and get him readjusted somewhere else.

Maybe they are "special snowflakes." I don't really give a f*ck unlike some pathetic people. They're the first family now (well soon). They will be protected by whatever means necessary and there is no rule that says they must move on inauguration day. In fact, a president never has to move to the White House if he or she doesn't want to. The fact that nearly every president has doesn't mean they have to. People get freaked out when they see changes or any deviation from longstanding tradition. Melania and Barron are allowed to not move, now or ever. Tough if people don't like it.

All the other school-aged children of past presidents seemed to cope. What is with this kid?

Not your business. And no, it's still not your business even though first families are taxpayer funded. They are still people who can make free choices, we do not own them and they don't owe us an explanation for things like this that they do, especially when these choices are perfectly allowed under the law (not moving into the WH right away).

In the most innocent way possible, I do wonder now if Barron is autistic. I do find it a bit strange they have shielded him so well from the media through the years. It was easy to forget he even existed prior to the election. It wound actually make sense if he was autistic, in which case what they do and how they handle him is especially not our business.

Since security will be a challenge in the heart of Manhattan, national security itself is at risk. If Donald would rather stick it to everyone else so that his special son doesn't have to change schools, imagine how much the Donald would risk our country to save his son should he be kidnapped (which is at higher risk of happening in the heart of NYC). The risk of kidnapping is the very reason the president's family is provided security.
