Not necessarily, when the job and production base goes social services costs only go up along with taxes to pay for it.

The whole goal of tariffs is to increase the price of imports to the level, or higher, than domestics products. This is supposed to encourage people to buy American to save some money. Domestic manufacturers love it, because they don't have to build a superior product, when they can get the government to help out.

No not necessarily the whole goal. It has the goal preventing dumping and foreigners completely taking over the market then dictate price and quality. It has the goal of encourage foreign companies to start producing locally.

Good Riddance.

Only the Trump haters can't accept it. But there is nothing new about that. They are like Mikey. i.e. They hate everything.
It's disingenuous to link globalization (and automation, responsible for a large amount of the reduction in industrial jobs) to Clinton and Obama - or to Democrats. Globalization has been supported by both political parties. And it has been happening for 40+ years. Do you honestly think tariffs are going to put a stop to it?

Yes it is. You're telling me Republicans haven't been huge proponents of globalization and automation over the last 4-5 decades?

Lol. Stop being such a partisan tool for a second.
