Considering that the entire west coast is above average for 2010-2013, we can dismiss that first statement right away. Secondly, it's helpful to understand how math works. If you start from $1 and grow by 100%, you only have $2. If you start at $100 and grow 10%, you have $110. That's the funny thing about percentage changes - they depend on what you're starting from, so even small actual dollar growth in economically minor states can cause dramatic percentage changes.

Trump is thin skinned I give you that. He shouldn't be tweeting such butt hurt messages, I said this very thing in a previous post. BUT, my initial point is that Trump is just venting out the frustration that a narrative has taken hold and there are little counter points in the main. He is terrible at it and doesn't articulate this frustration many Americans have so he is open season for more ridicule.
Trump may become the all-time biggest source for comedy, that the world has known. Plenty of entertainment coming our way, that's for sure, even as we suffer his deconstruction of our country.

3. Seniors and retirees worked in an era where pensions were standard and only trained once.
4. The younger generation will on average need to train for their career three times with no pensions.
5. Seniors and retirees worked and benefited from unions and U.S. manufacturing jobs (with pensions).
6. The younger generation rarely works for a union, minimal manufacturing and no pensions.
7. Seniors received Medicare Part D with no funding whatsoever.
8. Seniors also receive Medicaid for their nursing home stays.
9. Seniors in the baby boom generation were coddled through their entire lives with Social Security that was not means tested, Medicare with a minimal contribution, Medicaid, Medicare Part D, pensions, etc.
10. These same seniors that have received so much and are currently receiving major contributions from the younger generation for their health care costs, are saying they want MORE???

Who are the snowflakes again?
I agree with most of the above. #3 isn't accurate. Even in their heyday, only about 50% of the workforce got pensions, and they typically weren't that generous.

To answer your question: Much of America has a "special snowflake" attitude. Everyone notices everyone else's goodies but take their own for granted. I think it's worse with liberals/Democrats, but it definitely crosses party lines and spans all ages. The Boomers were the first generation to embrace the entitlement/welfare state mentality in large numbers. It's hardly a surprise their kids would be any different.

Seniors who are getting more Medicare benefits than they paid in aren't crooks; the real crooks are the healthcare and pharmaceutical companies that jack up their prices, making healthcare prohibitively expensive for everyone.
It IS an entitlement, because on a net basis, most people take out more than they put in. Sorry, that's a dirty secret not reported much in mainstream media, but it is nonetheless true.

The problem is our health care is simply not affordable (to individuals or the taxpayers), and fighting about the $1 Trillion annual cost of paying for largely preventable diseases after people get sick is completely counterproductive.

Not relative to COL.

But keep taxes low keeps corp happy, and they do.

Other states are free to do that, too.

Many people both rich and poor have this mentality that they are special snowflakes . Rich elite entitlement is as bad as those that think they are special because they can pop out children and have the taxpayers pay for it. This mentality has degraded this country.
What about Medicare and SS?
