I'm saying they wouldn't let a white Democrat Congressman who represents a black district join.

I realize that this is an old thread but the basic premise is hilarious.

Apparently the original poster didn't realize that two out of the three senators being charged with antisemitism are themselves Semites.

Logic sometimes takes a back seat in the Politics and Controversies forum.

As long as you resurrected this thread, it reminds me that it was started before the picture of a smiling Obama with his buddy Farrakhan, surfaced.

It has lifelong Jewish democrats questioning their allegiance to the Democratic Party.

These philo-Semitic Olympics are exhausting, civicaly and in every other conceivable way.

No one will ever win the philo-Semitism Olympics (of which accusations of anti-semitism are the defining feature). Most of all because you will never be philo-Semitic enough.

It's a game that's toxic to this nation's democratic processes, as those processes and institutions invariably get subjugated to this game. In other words, if you are undemocratic but can prove yourself to e sufficiently philo-Semitic more than your opponent, then you can usually get away with the undemocratic behavior.

Conversely, if you are engaging in a democratic action but can be successfully painted as antisemitic (or perhaps less philo-semitic than your accuser) then that democratic action can usually be effectively suppressed.

That gives us a democratic country only secondary to a philo-Semitic country. That's not how this is supposed to work.

Both parties need to disengage in the philo-Semitism Olympics, protect the Rights of Jewish people the same as all others, but also not convey any special political rent nor privilege because you think that signalling philo-semitism will in-turn give you political favor or advantage.

If Democrats tolerate anti Semitism, why are most Jewish politicians Democrats and why do most Jewish people vote Democratic?

There are scores of example of Semites being successfully accused of antisemitism in the philo-semitic Olympics. Care for a short list?

Such a thing is neither a political nor a cultural contradiction, nor a precedent, nor very noteworthy.

This is because some "Semites" (born Arabs or Jews) are not held to be cultural Semites or sometimes they are held to be not sufficiently philo-Semitic (pro-Jewish).

Thus, they can be culturally anti-Semitic in the eyes of the philo-Semitic Olympics competitors.

It's quite simple. Democrats see everything in Marxist terms now, as a dichotomy between exploiters and exploited. In their world-view, Jews are exploiters, so therefore shall not be defended.

It's amazing a society would continue to allow these people to invade, given that their thinking is incompatible with Western values.
