What the hell is wrong with us? What's with all the threads that aren't about honest questions at all, but are only intended to insult people with a differing view? What's with pitting city people against country people, or the coasts against "flyover" country? What's with the gloating and the bitterness and the comments that are made for no other reason than to cause another person pain?

I'm sorry, but I have had a truly rotten 24 hours, the kind that makes you value friendship and kindness, and I, a serious liberal, turned to a serious conservative on here for comfort, and received it, in spades. We still disagree about a lot of things, but kindness makes that okay.
Kindness makes most things okay, or if not okay, at least a little better.
Just a stupid rant, and I probably shouldn't have made it, but I really don't care. Like it or not, we need each other.
There is no healing the rift. 65 million Americans just chose Hillary Clinton for their president and were overruled by the 62 million who chose Donald Trump. We are angry and rightfully so. The republicans stole 2 elections in 16 years and it is pathetic that they have to steal elections to win instead of just winning them.

Trump started all this hate with his rhetoric...lying Ted, little Marco...etc. Instead of being respectful he took the low road and started these insults. His rhetoric against Hillary increased with lies about her health and going to jail. And now his supporters just mimic him. I have never seen a president elect more disrespectful. It's a disgrace but it is what it is.
I think most (not all) of the members posting seem to provide little other than simply show how disgusted and angry they are with anyone of a different political view or thought. All you have to do is add one of three words ( liberal, left, or Hillary ) to a post and the crazies come out. It appears that there are more conservatives posting in the forums however liberals simply have learned to avoid commenting on most of the threads and thus avoid reading unpleasant posts.
Healing? The plans for the complete destruction of the Democratic Party is at hand... we could of handled a particular bad President Obama and left it at that... when the liberal media, Hollywood, and finance/tech CEOs try to manipulate an election, this is war... in war, there is no peace...

I don't understand why we are labeled liberal or conservative. I'm a moderate. Aren't there any of us left We are the only ones who can get things done in government.
I'm laughing at Nutty Don supporters typing away on devices made overseas by immigrants. Don't worry... these guys will be employed millionaires the moment he takes office. Heck... touching coal will be the equivalent to rubbing a genie lamp.
Too bad we can't turkey pen middle America... It's effective in public administration when you can't cut dead weight.
