The Obama administration is responsible for updating and enforcing cyber-security for all government and related IT systems.

Beyond this fact, while flouting the law Hillary Clinton set up a private email server that was easy to hack.

With reference to the current agitation in the liberal media in regard to the supposed Russian hacking and dissemination of DNC and related emails, why on Earth should the conservatives and their candidate politically pay for Obama failing to do his job and Hillary openly inviting foreign hackers with her incompetence and willing evasion of the law so that she could abuse her appointment?

This was In the liberal's court from beginning to end.

They lost the election, and are now using their own incompetence to undermine the result.

Why should the nation reward their incompetence with questioning of the electors votes and throwing Trump's win into question?

This would even work as a strategy:

while in-power you would allow or otherwise fail to work hard enough to stop hacking so, in case you lose, you can blame the hacking and undermine the election result by shifting blame to the winning candidate.

The liberals failed to stop the hacking, they failed to sway the election result with their corrupted press, and now they are tripling down in the hope that we will forget that they allowed the hacking to occur in the first place.

The plan stinks of desperation and it isn't ultimately going to work, if for nothing but the above stated truth of the matter.

The government had nothing to do with Podesta's indiscretion and the DNC servers. That's on them. And we know now that the RNC has been hacked as well, but Putin only chose to release documents damaging to Clinton. When you start to champion foreign governments interfering in US elections because it helped your side, one has to question your loyalty as an American.

I'm puzzled..in one breath I get that there is no proof of hacks...then in the next...that the "libs" are responsible?

Boy..some of you folks must get some very tired necks..all that snap-turning.

I don't care about the election results..a foreign govt carried out a massive intelligence op on our soil--attacking our core institutions--and just because your guy won..it's all good??

Trumpettes just can't accept that their boy the Tangerine man cheated his way into the White house(with the Russians).I find it funny Trump was screaming about this before the election ,now the rightwing nuts don't want to hear about it.

So there is actual evidence that the Russians hacked and commandeered the election? Shocking! I await actual documentation of this involvement of a foriegn power, and eagerly look forward to reading the story in the news.

Oh, wait, more fake news from uncredited sourcesin the CIA? Sigh. If if was such a danger, then why indeed didn't the CIA and our cyber spooks take the steps to stop it?

It couldn't be that a candidate used an unsecure server to avoid any of those icky FOIA requests, eh? ANd once we found out about it we realised what an incompetent corrupt politician that candidate turned out to be?

Why are you afraid of an investigation to see if the results were legitimate?

To me, the answer to that question is obvious.
