Isn't Putin becoming a boogeyman after the left embraced him with more flexibility in the 2012 elections and shielded him from Mitt Romney's (correct) attacks?

Now you have UK liberals blaming Putin for supposedly disseminating false information online, which led to the Brexit vote........

I stubbed my toe, thanks Putin...

UK Liberals Now Blaming Putin Cyberwarfare for Brexit
Why are you so keen on dismissing the idea that they might have been involved? Of course they were involved, and if Brexit helps their agenda you can bet they did their best to make it happen.

Rand Paul said correctly that any country who has the ability to do it is doing it, which is kind of obvious. They use it to advance their own interests.

Some of the cyber warfare is perfectly legal BTW, like installing bunch of paid posters to push certain agenda on message boards like this one. They also spread fake news about political candidates, and it can sway some voters.

In our elections it seems they wanted Trump to win, so they did what they could. Some of their actions were legal, and some less legal. It looks like they are getting their reward since it is likely Trump & Rex will lift the sanctions on Russia.

Seems the rest of the world's politicans need to take leadership lessons from Putin, he's racking up quite an impressive success rate. Here's to hoping Hollande, Merkel, and Baby Trudeau are the next.

Or they could consider that maybe, just maybe, the people of their country decided their policies were destroying the country they loved.

It's ok Frank. If you repeat "cyber warfare does not exists" 50 times, it will cease to exist

Putin is an old school butcher, KGB, have em killed style leader. I think any American, whether they are head of the state department or president, who thinks they are in the same league as Putin is fooling themself. Putin knows playing nice is a waste of time especially when you don't have to.

People voted for Brexit, because they were sick of the EU limiting their choices as a country.

And in America the people screaming the loudest that Putin interfered in our election were the quietest when accusations of Obama interfering in other elections were leveled overseas.

All true. ^^^^

We can only assume that Putin is also gathering information about Trump, his businesses and his family members. He'll have Trump dancing to whatever tune he plays in no time.
