You mean Trump? Since he's the one that's been eroding our stable relationship with them w/ his antics and rhetoric?
That's nonsense. China has been reporting that we've been on the brink of war with them forever. They were convinced - somehow - that the Iraqi war meant we were going to attack them, too. I'm not kidding. Our relationship with them has really never been stable. We only pretend to get along because economically we're dependent on each other.
Last time Obama visited, they conveniently didn't have the right sized steps for air force one and made him exit the rear of the plane. There's always this tit-for-tat going on with them.
A Department of Defense war machine doing "research" in a foreign country's sea... what you think is going to happen? You dang right, China is going to take it apart and steal the technology... China would not steal a "off the shelf" product because if it was truly "off the shelf" it would of been made in CHINA!

Navy ships do research all the time. I'm sure the Chinese were beside themselves with delight that they could get their hands on our drone, though, and while Obama is still in office. They've pretty much learned that they can get away with this crap, and we won't do much more than whine about it. I'm equal parts worried, and intrigued, to see what Trump will do with these little incidents. Maybe the fact that he hasn't been parsing words when it comes to China, they will show more restraint. Who knows?
CNN said it's a $150k drone. It probably will be returned, but not until taken apart, reverse engineered into drawings for later sales to Iran. "Here, you can have it back. It's not that sophisticated."
It had nothing to do with Obama, flying military jets over China's islands and then send warships into China's seas... Obama threatening China with their islands... and sending military weapons to China's neighbors.... nah, that can't be it... no way, jose... its gotta be the guy who hasn't even made into office yet and made ONE phone call to say Hello...... Yup, glad the super unbiased media could figure it all out for us... /end sarcasm...
Not to worry. I'm sure our Dear Leader-elect has just the perfect tweet ready to unleash on those barbarians. He'll strike at 3 AM (when they least expect it), and twitter their entire country right off the face of the globe with a single tweet.

Yeaaah... uh huh. 8 years of stable relations w/ China, China opening up trade & mfg zones ON American soil, increased trade, etc. China picks NOW, 1 month away from Trump coming into office to start acting up, and it's Obama's fault?
Not the guy who's been saying he's going to punish China, crash their economy, label them this and that, using them as the whipping boy on his stump speeches?
Not the guy the Chinese officials and media have specifically called petulant, childish, and someone who needs to learn how to operate on the international scene b/c there could be fallout...
Keep burying your heads in the sand.
