These people are my mortal enemies, and I have absolutely no desire to compromise or get along with them. I'd prefer they left the country, or were escorted out of it, frankly.
And those liberals you complain about see conservatives as backwards, racists, and deplorable, and view them as their mortal enemies. See where this is leading?

It's one vicious cycle, and both sides are doing it.

You really and truly don't understand what liberals have done to this country over the last 8 years, and how much conservatives absolutely despise liberals for it.

I think I snapped the first time I heard someone say I was "privileged".

It was at that point, that precise moment, that I stopped regarding liberals as fellow human beings.

What is it you all say? "Words matter"? They sure do. The disgusting racist crap that comes out of liberals really has taken its toll on many. We've had it.

So while you folks MAY BE human, I do not regard you folks as my brethren. Not after what you've done to my country, and show ABSOLUTELY no remorse for it.

While I would never lift a finger against a liberal on the basis of them being a liberal, I certainly wouldn't lift a finger to help them if someone else did. You're just "not there" as far as I'm concerned.

You know. The same way you fine folks treated people like me for the last 8 years. So gimme a break.

Now we've elected Trump, and oh yeah, I know EXACTLY why you folks are so upset. Because you know what you've done, and you're worried about karma.

Sit back and listen to the music. It's going to be a LONG 4 to 8 years for you folks watching Trump reverse as much of this insanity as humanly possible.

Because.. In our hyper-adversarial system, I think it has become more important to WIN than to.. be Civil.

Electors declare Trump President Monday after the bunk falls on deaf ears, even if maybe "Five" decide to buck the system. I personally believe that, even though inexperienced politically and maybe a little bullish and loudmouthed, apparently still... He is EXACTLY what we need. The election was November 8th, over on the 9th and the Electoral Vote has went with Trump in an amazing victory. I call sour grapes.

So. What's up. Can we hate each other nicely? Because, for some, this does go to our core about who we are as people.. winners, or poser losers. I am a winner, and winners win. Losers lose. Democrats lost... I am confused.

Leftists are cancer. You don't act civil towards a tumor.

You aren't going to get much love from Republicans when they are labeled "deplorables" AND Their leaders try to corrupt the results of an election.

Be careful. You're making too much sense and might cause one of them to just dissolve into a puddle or something.

Then we'll all have to step in puddles of vanquished liberals. These are new boots!

Liberals despise conservatives as well. It's all a vicious cycle. The only way to stop this is to meet in the middle, and that goes for liberals and conservatives.

My personal political preference is libertarian, rather than Republican (please note that the 'l' is not capitalized); I register with the Libertarian Party (capital 'L') because a certain percentage of voter registrations are required to keep any minor party on the ballot.

When I first heard of libertarianism, it was concentrated among young college-age activists, eager to point out the contradictions between traditional love of country, and the rational for fighting a dead-end "conventional" war, and sinking to use of the draft, against Marxism, but tolerating it within 90 miles of our shores. Most of us had also discovered the Objectivist philosophy of Ayn Rand; hence, no identification with religious or nationalistic absolutes.

As I grew a little older, and lived through the success of the Reagan years, I came to recognize the unique circumstances represented by the "American experiment/exception"; and I also came to understand that the "society without coercion" envisioned by more-doctrinal Objectivists and Libertarians simply isn't workable in a society where most of us are a paycheck or two from a personal financial crisis -- and most of us have also learned that honest capitalism and "Korporate" behavior are two different worlds.

But I'm depressed with the number of grass-heads, anti-Semites, goldbugs and other over-zealous single-issue followers who have diminished the moderation and pragmatism which led the established Libertarian Party toward its present success. With the Democratic Party clearly shacked by the actions of the radicals with which it began corrupting itself some forty-plus years ago, and the "Trumpster" and Tea Party movements providing a fertile breeding ground for people who are clearly disaffected with the Old Guard (of both major parties) but are equally unsure of what we need to discard, and what we want to keep -- it behooves all of us who view statecraft as a defensive process to choose our partners very carefully.
