On today's (Dec. 21st) broadcast of Here and Now, on NPR, it was said that 75% of Trump supporters and republicans in general, accept the reality of climate change and are also in favor of the expansion of renewable forms of energy.

Here's the link: Here & Now : NPR The program is 41 minutes long and you'll have to listen to at least half of it, before this segment comes up.

This is encouraging and it bolsters my suspicion that the Trump supporters who come here, are mostly a sub-set, that is much more polarized and divisive among those who have other political interests, than Republican Party members and Trump followers are in general.

Everyone believes in climate change.

And I would be suspect of the NPR survey since they are quite biased.

Republicans were the ones saying that the climate changes, and that the planet warming slightly was not a catastrophe. This was back in the day when you dems called it global warming.

So yes, Republicans do think the climate changes, because the evidence shows that to be fact.

What many Republicans don't believe is that the climate change is caused solely by humans, or that the temperature will begin to spike.

...so, you only suspected that most Republicans aren't polarizing and divisive?

See the following:

This is how the polarizing and divisive left have talked for the last 8 years. Again, keep belittling, marginalizing, and continue being downright uncivil and watch the progressive movement shrivel up and die from your regressive backassward noninclusive closed minded attitudes.

Common sense always proves itself out in time. The left are proactively reactive rather than logical and calm.

If a nut hits them in the head it's obvious the sky is falling... so they start a protest movement which gets hijacked and turns into riots. I guess one nut deserves another.

Amen

It's an invention of the UN as a way for them to steal from wealthy countries and spread it to poor countries; while skimming some cream for themselves which is the true objective.

Nothing like inventing a problem, helping people for said invented problem, and getting filthy rich in the process.

Ask Gore how good CCC has been for him. It's just more redistribution of wealth except on the grandest scale.

This raises a troubling issue. Assuming that we somehow survive and some are even able to have children, how will Trump supporters explain what they did to theirs? Will there be something like there was in South Africa, after apartheid ended, called the Truth and Reconciliation Hearings?
