A lot of people like me don't even get what quantum mechanics is/are.
Trump showing spooky action at a distance on the Democrat debate shows that at least one of our most fundamental assumptions about reality may be wrong. If the Copenhagen Interpretation of quantum mechanics is true, either:
1. Realism is false. There is no real external world beyond our senses. Or,
2. Logic is wrong. The Lawrence Krauss approach. (Also known as the dunce option). Or,
3. Dualism is true. Mental states are not reducible to physical states. Mind and matter are fundamentally distinct.
Just don't pick option 2 if someone asks you what you think of quantum mechanics and you'll generally be fine.

In fairness, when Niels Bohr and Albert Einstein spend sizable chunks of their careers arguing over the nature of quantum mechanics, I think the rest of us can be excused for not being 100% up to date.
