Seems as if our Republican friends have high hopes for Trump's inevitable nomination of lots of judges at every level.
So tell me Republican voters: what is Trump's judicial philosophy?
Haha, there you go again, D-D! Asking the hard questions. Aren't you a character!
(That was my Ronald Reagan imitation. Remember his "there you go again" in the Presidential debates, when Carter kept saying, basically, "It's the economy, stupid"? How did I do? )
President Trump will judiciously review candidates based upon who's lips felt best kissing his flabby white rear end. Trump has zero judicial philosophy. Anyone looking for a job? Justice positions for sale.
Trump and Clinton care more about specific cases and issues than a grand judicial philosophy. During the debates, Trump praised Scalia and judges who interpret the Constitution the way the founders wanted it interpreted.
Clinton wanted judges who'd uphold Roe v. Wade, same sex marriage; overturn Citizens United and Heller; stand up to the powerful. She didn't pretend to have a 'judicial philosophy.' Pretty much wanted a clone of Sotomayor or Ginsburg.
LOL, if you think Trump has ever read a decision authored by Scalia, or any court decision at all for that matter, then I have some ocean front property in Kansas that you can buy for a steal!
I bet Trump didn't even know who Scalia was before the man died. But then he saw how Conservatives were talking about him and decided he needed to talk about him that way too.
NOTHING Trump said about his "judicial philosophy" seemed genuine or unique. Everything he said about the supreme court can easily be found in 10 minutes on any Conservative website. It was all very generic. He never elaborated or went in to detail, which tells me he was just reading from a script his advisors created for him.
Cool piece of info - Trump's sister was a federal judge for the US Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, from 1999-2011. That's one step from the Supreme Court.

..Trump's big sister is a private person who once described Donald as PT Barnum, according to the book "Trump Nation." She has taken positions viewed as pro-choice (which subjected her to attack ads during the GOP primary this year). And in stark contrast to the apparent Republican nominee, she has repeatedly expressed pro-immigrant views. In 2006 she issued a revealing opinion on a deportation case, saying that Americans should be ashamed if they don't heed the welcome message under the Statue of Liberty. ...
We should be so lucky if his short attention span allows him to listen to her.

So you believe that Trump knows all about Scalia's decisions and judicial originalism?

So Trump won't nominate activist judges? What do you base that on?
We should hope his nepotism extends in her direction.
Republicans have enough of a majority to keep a President Trump in check if he starts acting like his Liberal sister...
