Oh and the abolition of scholarships for girls, shutting down women's colleges, and women shall be forcing to compete against men in sports. All prisons will be coed as well, including the cells, and homeless and domestic violence shelters can no longer be female-only.
This a parent's paranoia not their kids. Kids accept everyone unless their parents tell them otherwise.

You don't know many kids. I was a Girl Scout, and I would not have wanted a boy in the troop. Had nothing to do with anything my parents told me and doesn't mean I hate men or boys. How do you think these groups got started anyway? It's natural for people--esp. children and adolescents--to crave their own spaces for development among similar individuals. They deserve that without one person trying to ruin it.

Nobody would have taken that seriously even 3 years ago.
Did you not mean what you said?

Their sexual identities are not fantasies; they are just as real as whatever your own sexual identity is. For many it is not a "phase" and does not ever change, no matter how hard the individual tries. Many do try, even marrying and having children, only to eventually discover that all the trying does not change who they are.

What needs to change is the idea that transgendered people are dangerous. They are not. They just want to live their lives as the gender their brains tell them they are.

Yes, and I'm clueless as to how you could read it twice and still completely misunderstand.

Sure they are. Little kids often fantasize and imagine themselves to be things they aren't. It isn't unusual in the least.

And for many it is, and it does change. And we hope it does don't we? It almost seems like people are rooting for this poor kid's gender dysphoria to be permanent.

https://www.healthychildren.org/Engl...-Children.aspx

"Research suggest that children who are persistent, consistent, and insistent about their gender identity are the ones who are most likely to become transgender adults."

"There is no way to predict how a child will end up identifying him or herself later in life. This uncertainty is one of the hardest things about parenting a gender non-conforming child. It is important for parents to make their home a place where their child feels safe and loved unconditionally. Research suggests that gender is something we are born with; it can't be changed by any interventions. It is critically important that children feel loved and accepted for who they are."

No matter how icky the idea of transgender is to you, there will be no harm to another child to allow the child in the OP to participate in Boy Scout activities, whether it is a "phase" for him or not.

She isn't a "boy born as a girl". She's a girl. Females don't belong in the Boy Scouts.

We're already members of the Boy Scouts. The Exploring, Venturing, and Sea Scouting programs are fully co-educational, and women make up a third of all registered leaders. If you've ever attended a large annual Scout Show, you'd likely be stunned at the number of young women in dark green Venturing uniforms. Likewise, young women make up a large portion of the staff at high adventure and summer camps across the country. We backpack Philmont, paddle the Northern Tier, and sail Sea Base; we hone our leadership skills through NYLT and NAYLE; and when we grow into adult women, we can and do lead packs, troops, and crews. Women have been members of the Boy Scouts of America for a very long time. You just weren't aware of it.
