I guess everyone has forgotten only six months ago when the US and Russia were expelling each other's diplomats.

This happens. Rarely means much.

This is unbelievable thinking. How can you see putin as the good guy after he attacked America by trying to influence our elections? Just going to overlook that?

Would you call a mass murderer a good guy because they once helped an old lady across the street?

Are you forgetting that putin actually DID something to deserve the sanctions???

Who the hell cares HOW he reacts.

I for one would like to see some proof they meddled in our election . The CIA has been caught red handed fabricating lies before so they're not credible .

Here is a quote from a story at Politico about us and specifically Hillary Clinton interferring in Russia's election process.

Quote:
Why Putin hates Hillary
Behind the allegations of a Russian hack of the DNC is the Kremlin leader's fury at Clinton for challenging the fairness of Russian elections.

When mass protests against Russian President Vladimir Putin erupted in Moscow in December 2011, Putin made clear who he thought was really behind them: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

With the protesters accusing Putin of having rigged recent elections, the Russian leader pointed an angry finger at Clinton, who had issued a statement sharply critical of the voting results. “She said they were dishonest and unfair,” Putin fumed in public remarks, saying that Clinton gave “a signal” to demonstrators working “with the support of the U.S. State Department” to undermine his power. “We need to safeguard ourselves from this interference in our internal affairs,” Putin declared.
Now I have no problem believing that the Russians hacked anyone or everyone in this country, or that they interfered in our elections in some sort of ineffectual way, as we routinely do the same sorts of things to them and to other countries around the world.

That being said, I am going to hold out to see the Senate investigation into this matter before I jump to any conclusions, as we all know that Barack Obama is irresponsible, petulant and a habitual liar who is thoroughly corrupt and cannot be trusted at all, especially now while he is having one of his selfish little fits. The CIA also has a long history of inaccuracies and outright propaganda and disinformation, as that is at the core of what they do. Also, they are currently headed by political appointees of Barack Obama, so we cannot just take their word for anything on this subject either.

The one thing I am pretty confident of is when all the truth comes out, it will be quite a bit different from what Obama, the Democrats and their lackies in the media have tried to portray it as.

As far as us "supporting Putin," we don't, we shouldn't, and we won't. All of this nonsense by you people that implies if you don't blindly embrace everything Obama is selling on this subject, then you therefore support Putin, is just like your tactic of calling everyone a racist who dares to disagree with Obama. It is a dishonest smear tactic and logical fallacy that has no basis in truth.

Not that leftists care anything about telling the truth, obviously. But other people still do.

Yes, it is smart, because it puts even more pressure on Trump to reinstate those "diplomats" (wrongly, IMO).

Trump is out of his depth on the international stage vs. someone like Putin. He's getting played and will almost certainly fall for it.

Obama wants to put a strain on the relationship between Russia and the new U.S. administration. Putin recognizes the common goals, as does Trump; defeat ISIS, strengthen nationalism and weaken globalism.

Putin has no reason to retaliate because 0bama will be out of office in three weeks. It's in his best interests not to.
