"I only know I could never ‘throw roses to Hitler.’ And I certainly could never sing for him."
Speaking of Mormon Sins: In the Mormon Church these are considered Sins. Are any of these better or worse than singing for Donald Trump? (you may rank them in order of severity)

Mormon Sins:
Masturbating
Watching soft porn on your computer.
Drinking coffee
Declining to tithe
Stop wearing garments/underwear
Drinking beer
Smoking a joint
Getting a tattoo
Making out with someone of the same sex
Well, just the first thing on the list precludes me from becoming a Mormon. No need continuing further down that list.
Is it all, or even a majority, of the choir taking this stand?
Mormon are not ones for airing differences in public, so it is hard to say how many are taking this stand. However, since fewer than 45 percent of Mormon voters checked the Trump box, I suspect there have been some serious discussions.
"According to the Utah Colleges Exit Poll, which surveyed thousands of voters, Trump managed to win support from fewer than 45 percent of Mormon voters — barely half of Romney's performance with the voting bloc and 30 points lower than John McCain received in 2008."
"Within the church, just like all churches, we are taught to vote for moral and wise men and women, and the word moral just didn't stick with Trump," said Gayle Ruzicka, president of the conservative Utah Eagle Forum and an outspoken opponent of Trump's candidacy."
I'm sure everyone is just devastated by this news.
Not everyone.
I suspect there are those young missionaries going door to door on their bicycles who are hoping against hope they don't have to defend Trump every time they knock.
Well, if that singer wants to quit the Choir to avoid singing at Trump's inauguration, she's just biting off her nose to spite her face. There are 360 individuals in the Choir and they must be present at 80% of their rehearsals and performances in order to remain in the Choir. They perform weekly, throughout the year and frequently for all kinds of special occasions, so the logical thing for this particular singer to do would just be to opt out of singing at Trump's inauguration. She doesn't need to quit the Choir. My guess is that she just wanted her 15-minute of fame.
Good, they quit, it gives someone with brains a chance to join the choir.
