I'm unsure if the above are the best candidates for the next election, but who ever is the candidate, they should have at least some charisma, and be some what clean.

With the Republicans having both legislative branches in their control and the most state-elected lawmakers in office in 100 years, if anything goes wrong it will be much harder to blame Democrats, and easier to blame the Republicans.

This is a DREAM. If these Democrats keep embracing the far-left nutjubs like this, and throwing away any support for mainstream, moderate, working Americans, they will continue their descent into irrelevance and obscurity. Look at Bernie Sanders, he couldn't even beat Clinton, probably the worst, most despised Democratic candidate of my lifetime.

I DO hope the Dems embrace a moderate, mainstream, financially responsible candidate at some point in the near future. One-party rule really isn't a good thing, even when it's the good guys.

Well that does seem to be one of the requirements of Mr. Jones approving of someone.

Just like some of the posters in this forum. If there is a crime committed or bad behavior or how someone voted it's never about some guy named "Pete" that did it or holds those views....it's always about "black pete" or "white pete" and how Pete's actions are reflective on millions of other people through the magic of association by pigmentation.

They actually had an article on CNN about one of the Clinton campaigners that basically broke ranks making excuses about Russians and essentially said that they made mistakes and they basically said need to stop attacking white working class voters that felt they were being ignored and jumped ship from the democrats. Calling them stupid, rednecks, racists etc. isn't going to get us back votes anytime soon.

I too want the democrats to balance things out but it's not looking promising.

There is very little introspection going on. Rather I just keep hearing excuses or how Hillary won the popular vote (how about the house and senate?) and how poor whites are stupid racists that should know better than to do anything but vote democrat.

Then they went ahead and handed the keys to Pelosi who helped drive the bus off the cliff. Oh and she's one of the key people that will have to stand up and oppose Trump\republicans.

The democrats now have the fewest number of state legislatures in their entire history and Republicans will enter the White House with both legislative branches in their control and their pick of a Supreme Court justice and the republicans now have the most state-elected lawmakers in office in 100 years and certain democrats want to double down on the losing ideas and move further left?

“You have to understand, I think that the Clinton days are over. This idea that we’re going to be this moderate party that’s going to move in this moderate direction, that’s going to throw blacks under the bus for criminal justice reform or for prison expansion is over. He added that Kamala Harris, a California Democrat who was just elected to the US Senate, is "unreal."

"She's going to be out there defending those DREAMer kids because they're a big part of her constituency," he said. "But she's got African-American roots. She's got Asian roots. She's female. She's tough. She's smart. She's going to become a big deal."

"You’re going to be judged based on your authentic commitment to the actual base of this party."

Jones, who was formally a part of President Barack Obama’s administration, went on to explain that he believes the politics of Sens. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Sen.-elect Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn) — which can be characterized as extremely progressive and socialistic — is the future of the Democratic Party.

what else would a communist say?

Ellison and Warren are so far out in left field and will look poorly after just 4 years of trump, they will be laughed at as irrelevant.

The dems have had their party hijacked by the socialists who did nothing for the last 8 years with harry reid and non negotiable, worst communicator in history, obama, supressing any form of discussion. Passage of the PPACA was the epitomy of that strategy. Founded on lies and passed by nuclear otion after being told the 'negotiations would be shown on CSPANN to avoid backroom deals...like the Louisianna purchase and the cornhusker kickback.

Warren is a screeching echo chamber and ellison is as far left as van jones. the only way they can make headway is thru decit, lies and a ready made propaganda machine which lost its power base when hillary lost.

I'm a liberal who thinks Elizabeth Warren is limited. It's all about the banks, banks, banks. Besides, she's no one's future. She's 67 years old.

She's also a huge hypocrite when it comes to the banks.
