[quote=jghorton;46688823]Typical left wing nonsense! -- The GOP is just as much in favor of good healthcare for people as the bleeding heart liberals. But, they want a responsible plan that actually works and has a viable answer to the "how will it actually be paid for" question.

That's all well and good, but why, then, in at least a decade, have they not been able to come up with a single plan which addresses the needs of the un/underinsured?

My local Congressman is always blatting about doing away with the ACA, but he never has anything to replace it with. He gets health care for free through the Government, but doesn't want it, even if they have to pay, for anyone else. What's with that?

The ACA is not perfect. I defy anyone to come up with a plan that fits al 320,000,000 people with no exceptions. But we have to start SOMEWHERE, AND ADDING 22 million PEOPLE TO THE INSURANCE ROLLS WAS A GREAT START.

Let's move on from there, rather than try to invent a new plan which has not been forthcoming in at least a decade.

This thread is about Medicare, not the ACA.

You can't even post a link that works. You're so eager to lie that you can't even keep your lies in order.

Default GOP to kill SS and Medicare after election.

Kudlow answered a question from Becky Quick on CNBC on entitlements.

He said the GOP will fix them.

Just like Rubio did when the GOP controlled all 3 parts of the Government.

So the GOP playbook, cut taxes for the top 1% and then do not pay for anything. Increase spending to force even greater deficits.

Create HUGE deficits and start telling all the followers oh do not worry we are fixing it all.

We have already seen them fix the ACA by trying to kill it.

No matter what the GOP needs to lose control of the House and Senate.

That's their goal. They would do it today if they could.

As it is the Republicans have done this before. The strategy is called "Starving the Beast". It goes back at least to Reagan.

I'm too far away from retirement or medicare, but I'd definitely like to see SS killed, or at least have an option for opting out. Some sort of sliding scale based on age and letting me stop contributions.

The GOP again showing they do not care about the people who vote for them. SS and Medicare 2 of the best deals in the country.

Nothing more than a very poor attempt to sway voters before the midterms. Dems must think people are pretty stupid.

Henny Penny... is that you?

Say... I also heard he has cloned Vlad Tepes from DNA samples to run his Democrat Reeducation Program as well. Or was it Cotton Mather?
