Marijuana legalization activists in the nation’s capital plan to hand out thousands of joints during President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration as a way to raise awareness about the fragility of legal pot under his administration.
DCMJ, the advocacy group behind the ballot initiative that legalized pot in Washington, D.C., in 2014, will take to the streets Jan. 20 to give away 4,200 joints — or about 40 ounces of marijuana.
“We are forced to do this type of publicity stunt because the Trump administration hasn’t mentioned marijuana once since he was elected,” said DCMJ founder Adam Eidinger. “It reminds people that the public wants change, and the politicians aren’t doing it.”
Works for me! Rec use is legal in DC, so no laws are being broken. It will be the first time reefer will fill the air of an inauguration which will send a solid message to the swamp dwellers.

Handing they out and accepting them is legal, but consumption in public is illegal, but apparently they call is a protest, so I guess they are willing to take the risk.
I'll be sure to stay away. Marijuana is for the weak-minded, who can't live in reality.
As opposed to who? The masses of people who quaff alcohol by the liter? The droves of people who make careers and successes of shows like XFactor? The flocks of sheep who follow unsubstantiated religious nonsense? As opposed to you who are so against realities like death that you wholesale subscribe to nonsense like reincarnation?
It would seem to me that having an issue coping with reality is a species attribute, not a stoner attribute. A simple case of "We know our poison, whats yours?" And you are far more in the center of that group than you pretend.

Trump is a ROCKSTAR! How fitting!
This is AWESOME!!
What a beautiful time to be alive in the United States of America!
If they are handing out free pot you can rest assured that it will be bunk and the pot heads will barely get high if they are lucky. It won't be any top shelf, most likely it will be some states[ fill in state] scrag weed that is barely worth smoking. Take it from a old vet that any time you see free pot you should be thinking to bring your own weed. It's a no brainer, would you rather smoke top shelf and have a real good buzz or be smoking some free Nebraska skrag?

Who funded that? Lol
If I were 20 years younger I'd go for the free buzz. What's cool at 20 is silly at 40.
