I think the more important question is, what should be the punishment for the Russians?

A war?

Phishing is not hacking. Hacking, you get in whether someone gives you their information or not. Phishing, you just wait for someone stupid enough to give you their password...which Podesta did.

Your second "proof" link says this:

"Moderate confidence" is not proof. It's speculation...which is not fact.
Take a look at the people being targeted. This was absolutely Russian hacking. The evidence is there. Refusing to accept it because it doesn't fit your bias's is illogical.

And phishing is hacking. Jesus. Specifically this was a fairly sophisticated attack on a gmail account. While I could have done it better, not by much.

I know everyone has this idea of what hacking looks like. Its not. It looks EXACTLY like this, and gets more sophisticated once inside.

That's an interesting point:

All the drum pounding by the Left on election cheating, recounts, and more Trump electors bailing turned out to be cries of wolf when there was no wolf.

How many do-overs do they want?

Where's the proof? Just a tiny bit? Nothing. Zero.

Depends. Can we make them TRULY regret this via a similar method? If so...I have no issue with continuing the war like that. But our form of government is FAR more vulnerable to this. Go with our strengths. And currently thats our military.

Not trying to argue, but what exactly do you and op want?

You keep on saying you want Trump to act, what does it mean?

Start a war with the Russians?

If necessary yes. Too many of us have died defending our government and nation to allow this sort of thing to go without response.

If we can make them truly regret it another way than I'd far prefer that. But I dont see it.

Phishing isn't hacking.

You must still be playing Oregon Trail on a HP 2100 minicomputer.
