California officials have declared California to be a “sanctuary” from any enforcement of federal immigration laws, and are defying the new president by refusing to cooperate with immigration officials in any way—preferring to dump criminal aliens on the streets so they can terrorize citizens rather than hand them over for deportation.
Since immigration is one of the specifically enumerated duties of the Federal Government, this is the fight you need to pick, Mr. President.

What Trump should do is designate vast stretches of land and water in California as National Monuments... force farmers and fisheries relocate to other states... enforce EVerify.... heavy fines on Sanctuary cities... special taxes on Hollywood on income greater than 1 million.... the impact on California will be significant...

Uh; remember Selma in 1965? When George Wallace's "boys" started busting on MLK and his people; well, it didn't end real well since the Alabama cops were forced to back down when the feds came to town so Black people could vote. BTW: those Black people were US citizens.
