Ms. Streep seems to have hit a nerve with the Trumplets. They are as thin skinned as their leader; tweeting like a high school girl about what that bad lady said about him.
Golden Globes/Oscars have always had their political moments. Nothing new. Meryl had six minutes where she knew all eyes would be on her ~ probably her only platform this year ~ and she spoke her mind.

Exactly, after all a great deal of art is polical - motion pictures, music, TV and the fine arts.
To study human nature in that detail is often to be political. It would be absurd if it wasn't.
The president elect is an accused child rapist as well. A recent lawsuit against him to that effect was dropped suddenly just before the election after the woman in question received death threats and was afraid to proceed.
Meryl streep should have said something about the special needs white person who was just tortured on facebook live by black bigots screaming **** white people **** trump. The left and the media has certainly stoked the fires of anti white/ anti trump hysteria and I seriously believe this will the start of more leftist hate crimes and racial problems in our nations cities.
Amazing that people can speak out for Michael Brown and BLM at the Grammys and Hollywood award shows but disabled victims of hate crimes arent worth a mention

That horrible crime was exactly the sort of thing that Trump's hate-filled speech has begotten.
