I've been watching this for a while now this afternoon, and it's pretty ridiculous.

They aren't asking questions to learn anything, they're making statements masked as questions.

The Democrats are trying to make him look bad while the Republicans are trying to make him look good. Neither side is trying to learn anything.

What a joke.

What has Sessions done to change how he is viewed? His Republican colleagues will say he is the nicest person.

Quote:
The Klansmen, Henry Hayes and Tiger Knowles, slit the victim's throat and hung his body from a tree.
They carried out the attack in retribution for a jury acquitting a black man in the slaying of a white police officer.
As Sessions learned that some members of the Klan had smoked marijuana on the evening of the slaying, he said aloud that he thought the KKK was: "OK until I found out they smoked pot."
Sessions insists he was joking.

Sessions stance on Pot and Civil Forfeiture make him a terrible choice. He also use to bow down to the KKK.

Dicky Durban, the Murder Capital Senator is soiling himself on camera.
He is setting up questions as far-fetched scenarios to try to entrap Sessions.
No luck sofar, but the stench in the chamber must be horrendous.

Dog and Pony show for political theatre.

Reminds me of the oil company hearings which were hilarious.

Both sides do it of course and just watching it for a little bit shows why people have such low regard for politicians.
