Buzzfeed and CNN fell right into Trump's "the media is biased" trap. This isn't a new concept, the MSM has always played in the Democrats' favor, but Trump vocalizing the issue to a much larger audience now.
Trying to pretend they were not excited Tapper, Scuitto, Bernstein, and Perez could hardly contain their glee when reporting the alleged dossier full of salacious scandal. BuzzFeed, CNN commentators are just hacks, the real dispensers of fake news. They revel in their power to control public knowledge and opinion.
But no more. The explosion of internet news sites changed that many years ago but the mainstream media have remained in denial. They mock those sites. But Trump and Twitter have forced them to realize their irrelevance, and they are having a nationwide tantrum.
So who had the last laugh? Trump, of course. Will the media never learn? He does not play by their rules of incivility; he plays by his own rules of incivility: when attacked, fight back harder. Thanks to CNN and BuzzFeed, Trump won the day, and the media have egg on their faces.
Americans understand human nature and public relations enough to understand that everyone who repeats allegations this fanciful without ironclad proof is demeaned thereby, whereas the victim of the allegations is elevated by the obvious desperation of his opponents.
America sees their reporting the obviously fake dossier to attack Trump once again proves Trump is the victim of an overreaching and desparate press that is bent on his destruction.
The burden of proof is on the accusers. Not the accused. Nothing has been proved against Trump.
