So, a Trump company brings in a plan to construct housing which would be eligible for a HUD grant, let's say senior housing, the Senator wants the application denied?
Well, this is actually the exact reason that the Emoluments Clause in the Constitution, and the exact reason Trump should have put everything in a blind trust or divested. This is in order to prevent the slightest appearance of self-dealing, corruption or impropriety.
But Trump doesn't know of, or care about, the law. Or he wouldn't have skirted the nepotism law in order to plunk his inexperienced wealthy real estate dealing son-in-law into the West Wing.
And we know his cult does not care about any laws he breaks or how corrupt he is, but others do. And this will continue to add to his conflicts of interest. Eventually it will go too far and there will be people calling for a special prosecutor. He could have avoided all of this, but chooses not to.

She flipped houses, and some people say she used insider information to flip houses of the poor that she would buy that had been foreclosed on in Oklahoma and other places. But the hearing isn't about Elizabeth Warren. When and if she runs for office again or for President, you can drag out her sordid past. It doesn't matter if the devil himself is on the podium asking Ben Carson these questions. Why the deflection from Carson's poor answer? Why the need to whine about Warren? While you may not like her tone or what she's getting at, she's trying to get to the heart of the matter that all of the appointees are being asked: can you act independently of Trump and can you be objective and avoid ethics violoations. Basically, your allegiance must be to the country.
Now, ultimately, as I read Carson's answer, I actually got where he was coming from. If he denied money to a project that was Trump's due to ethics, this could actually hurt an in-need person. I get that. But when it comes to ethics and the government, you have to be above board. That's what she was getting at. Basically, Ben, do you feel like you owe Trump something and will ensure HUD does not enrich him.
..and she is supposed to be the best the Dems will have to offer in 2020?
Only according to conservatives--haven't heard any Dems proposing it.

There isn't even any evidence of that whatsoever. Warren is a huckster and a fraud. Just like Rachel Dolezal.
