This is about a 12-year-old girl taking her own life but she livestreamed it on Facebook. Her family is contacting everybody to remove her video.
Here's my question. I fully understand why the family is taking down the video and feel bad for their terrible loss but isn't taking down the video very disrespectful to the young girl?
The girl's last wish was to share the video on her Facebook, no? Now her last wish was not being respected at all.
I saw my teen kids friend post some stupid kid drinking Clorox then vomiting-blood- yes they can take down the videos-- I have reported it to FB- not sure about other medias
True, but her video, when viewed by millions, could inspire some imitators. This outweighs her last wish.
Same thing can be said for many liberal ideas such as communism, Islam, and most of religions. Following your logic, all the talk about communism, Islam, Bibles etc. must be banned.
The police may be powerless but Facebook is not. They routinely delete pictures and videos that people report as offensive or inappropriate and there is no reason why they cannot do so in this case.

You can't rationalize a suicidal mind.
I think her parents' voice should be heard. That video needs to be removed. She was 12 years old. It's pretty sad that facebook didn't remove that video, they should have. I think they will, in time. Just watch.
I was questioning whether her parents made the right call.
Yes, it is a right call. You can't rationalize a suicidal mind.
Their family deserves healing in private. They don't need to be a source of gossip. They made the right decision.
