Just wondering if the losers of this election believe that anybody that voted for Trump cares that some entertainer was pressured not to perform? I hope they cancel the DC inauguration and move it to Wyoming.

Again, Miss. Holliday *had* her ten seconds of fame and then some after "Dreamgirls". In a just and proper world the role of "Effie" would have launched a great career in the musical theatre/Broadway and elsewhere in entertainment. But as have said before there was huge prejudice within the industry because of Jennifer Holliday's (then) weight. It probably also didn't help that she was African-American either; while things had gotten better by the 1990's for Blacks in the musical theatre/Broadway there was still a long way to go.

In the fifteen years or so since "Dreamgirls" Miss. Holliday had her share of troubles including illness.
