Maybe Democrats will fix their cities when they finally have the "correct " number of minorities running things .
Maybe there aren't enough black transgendered disabled Muslims in office.
Identity politics seems to be all they care about now and fighting for illegals .

What about the American kids getting shot and killed in Chicago ?

The 15 biggest cities (metro areas) in the USA, most of them liberal, generate most of the country's wealth.

yet much of the government assistance goes to poor, rural areas that are heavily conservative/republican.

Factually misleading response. The topic of this thread is correct so why not own up to it? Liberalism and business success are by no means synonymous - in fact it leads to the topic of this thread. CA is a perfect example of a state that likes to promote itself as successful - yet it is rotting from within. That's liberalism for you. Someone posted a map of states where people are bailing and where those people are then moving to. They are leaving your liberal cities for conservative ones - in droves.

They are mainly leaving places with expensive housing for areas with cheaper housing, which is cheaper because it is less desirable. I know people who moved to Phoenix here from California for precisely that reason, and they truly liked California better, and especially complain in the summer when it's super hot here. So the transplants to red states are settling because they want a Cadillac house on a Pontiac budget
