Maybe it was and I didnt see it but it was definitely much more libertarian and open minded and less sectarian years ago. "Weird' stories for the sake of being weird and hipster leftist stuff wasnt as overwhelming in the beginning

This guy Gavin MacInnes helped found Vice I believe, he is pretty right wing

Vice used to do some incredible work on YouTube and HBO. Once they got their channel they jumped the shark.

I havent seen anything good they have done in a long while. Shane Smith just bought a 33 million dollar house sight unseen, a long way from the montreal and brooklyn streets. Once you are bought by disney and cnn and A and E , even fox has an investment in them, I dont think you are going to be too cutting edge much longer

Yeah. Not only did it produce informative documentaries but fun documentaries.

What ever happened to Thomas?

It's been a couple of years but I really enjoyed their YouTube documentaries. Informative, entertaining and a bit different.

Our cable channel picked up their TV program and it's lame as hell. Granted I'm not the targeted demographic but I spent a lot of time trying to watch SOMETHING worthwhile.

Trying too hard to be "different, cutting edge", I guess.

Try journeyman docs if you like docs. Much more interesting, its an Australian company and alot more foreign and still pretty leftist but not like american leftists and alot more serious than this vice hipster weird to be weird stuff. Bbc has some great ones on youtube as well

Thomas Morton, who hosts Balls Deep? Horrible name (as with most Vice shows), but some of the episodes are interesting. Each episode is an in depth look at different American subcultures.
