Weird stories just for the sake of being weird it seems, it really isnt interesting new media. They have a few decent pieces but kind of strange Shane Smith is a billionaire by putting out this crap.

Maybe it was, I just thought it seemed pretty fair and open minded in the beginning but maybe I was wrong. I used to go to their web site all the time and watch stuff, now its very little good content and much harder to navigate.

They have a cable channel. It is a content source for millennias. Not sure why this needs to be in politics. But like most media sources, some content is good. Some sucks. Some is clickbait.

I don't know how that is a thread. Of course it is liberal. It is obvious when you read the headlines. It is a culture mag aimed at millennial who live in cities. Of course it is going to be fairly liberal. That is stating the obvious don't you think?

I find they post a lot of interesting stuff and angles and stuff I never even considered. I like their visual design.

It may have been in the beginning but its a huge billion dollar media company now with deals with disney and others, shows on hbo etc. I was just hoping for more from new media, just doesnt seem to be as interesting as it once was

When media companies get big, they just become bigger versions of what they started with. It gets a lot harder when you have to become a content factory..

I love documentaries and really just want to see a New Media company that isnt the same sort of boring bourgeoisie liberal viewpoint you get from Old Media. Vice had some really good docs in the beginning but has turned out to be very mediocre.

These parodies sort of sums up vice hipster "journalism" for me
