Liberals want federal tax dollars for criminals and then whine that Trump isn't looking out for California? Sorry lefties, the POTUS is supposed to be an AMERICAN president for all AMERICANS. I know you've had a bad role model for that over the last 8 years but maybe this time you can learn (I doubt it).

Its a way for liberals in california to save face, blame it all on trump and thank god they dont add those numbers to the budget. People in California arent as liberal as everyone thinks, at least from white voting patterns .LA county and parts of the bay area make it seem alot more liberal than it really is.

When my dad was living there california voters had just passed Prop 187 in a 1994 general election ballot. The goal of Proposition 187 was to make illegal aliens ineligible for public benefits. It passed 58% to 41% !

Proposition 187's approval was the first time that any American state passed legislation related to immigration

The day after Proposition 187 was approved by the state's voters, several groups filed federal lawsuits against it likethe Mexican-American Legal Defense/Education Fund (MALDEF), the League of Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and the ACLU and a federal judge overturned it.

I think the judge over turning prop 187 was the start for the last time republicans really won much in California, whites started leaving California and large increase in hispanics and alot more victories for the democratic party and pretty much one party rule now in the state

California is now beginning to realize that access to federal $$$$$ will be coming completely at the pleasure of the GOP congress and Donald Trump. The state no longer has any power to influence the federal government.

The state is going to fold like a cheap lawn chair from Walmart sat on by a goverment fattened democrat.

Don't worry California is so rich it can support it self is what the California liberal elite will say. They are so rich that they don't need any federal money.

It would be interesting see what happens if California defies the new, more conservative federal government and ends up getting less federal money because of that defiance.

Californian has a small segment of the pie that is mega-rich elite, a middle-class falling apart and being taxed into near-poverty and huge, huge amounts of poor families on welfare.

In reality, the California limosine liberals live in a very small bubble in small, extremely-affluent parts of California.

It is amazing how instance how small but rich the little bubbles of wealth are in Southern California even in Orange County for every rich suburb with mansions on lush hills there is a dirt, poor suburb by national standards.

Yeah right, the infrastructure is California is crumbling, health-care that is mainly out-dated, unionized hospitals that are overcrowded.

Even the police in Los Angeles are getting sick from mold at the police stations and there city has a huge deficit.

Also a huge pension fiasco, much of that money goes to retirees who sell there homes in California and move to other states.
