Small crowds for Trump's Lincoln Memorial concert - much smaller than Obama's (see comparison photos) - but that didn't stop Trump insisting his was the biggest ever.

"We thought it would be a small concert and tens of thousands of people were there,” Trump said. “It went all the way to the back. They never had so many people. And very few people ever had a concert at the Lincoln memorial.”

Hundreds wide and hundreds deep. THAT was not a "small crowd" They sold out all 5000 tickets for seats. Then there are many thousands behind them on the Mall.

The concert was free. Anyone buying tickets got scalped and were naive.

I tried to watch the concert, but I got bored shortly after it started. The crowds were thin.

What I saw in real time was drab, bleak and generally meh.
