That's really sweet, Trump getting all in a wad about one calmly spoken statement by civil rights icon John Lewis, stating that he didn't see Trump as a legitimate President. He said this apparently because of the known Russian hacking and reports that someone in Trump's team was in contact with Russia. Probably not a good thing to say, for a national politician. But it wasn't as if it was without evidence.

OTOH, we have Trump's birther history, where for five looooong years, Trump questioned Obama's legitimacy as President, claiming he wasn't born in the United States, despite there not being one speck of evidence. In fact, to the contrary, Hawaii had provided Obama's short, and then long, birth certificates.

He didn't give up the birther fight until September 2016...Obama's last year in office, when Trump, unapologetically, quipped, when asked, "He was born in the United States. Period." (Just earlier in 2016, though, he had told the Washington Post he wasn't ready to admit that Obama was born in the U.S.)

Trump was so worked up about it that he even stated that he was sending a team of investigators to Hawaii to find out the truth! As usual, we never heard any reports about any investigators whom he had sent to Hawaii.

It was all a lie. Trump, along with everyone else knew the birther thing was concocted out of thin air.

How does Trump handle Lewis' statement? A childish, mean, personal tweet, of course. His specialty. His joy in life. Trump even shows his ignorance (what a surprise!) when he references Lewis' crime ridden, trashed up district (Lewis' district is middle class).

How did Obama handle Trump's persecution of him? "Well, I was pretty certain about where I was born," with a smile. The smile is important. There are no smiles in Twitter.

How did Trump handle Lewis' statement? Tweet: "Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk – no action or results. Sad!"

Trump might well have said, "Oh, yeah? Well, your mamma wears army boots! And wheredja get that shirt? Sears? All talk talk talk...no action or results! " Just like any other 14 year old.

LOL. I'm sure you have some follow up thought re this, such as 'from the zoo', but the first thing that tumbled out of my brain was 'from Witch Mountain'.
